Now that that’s cleared up, let’s get into the nitty gritty.
- Mandela’s Way: Lessons on Love, Life and Courage by Richard Stengel – If you’re sort of into biographies, go with this. I think this book is easy to really get into cause it’s written from the perspective of someone admiring Mandela and learning from him, which in my opinion, are easier shoes to fill than trying to step into Mandela’s own.
- #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso – This book has to be one of the funniest and most honest books I’ve ever read, I wouldn’t call it a self help book, but rather a book on why you can be successful if you just go for it.
- The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen – I read this book during summer last year & it had to be the craziest and weirdest, yet most realistic book that I’ve laid hands on. If you ever feel like your family is a bit messed up, I’m pretty positive you’ll find comfort in knowing that they’re not as messed up as the family in this book.
