Regent Palms’ Wonderland

Hai humans! :P

It’s me again! So, a couple of weeks ago, I think it was like 3 weeks…I don’t know, exams messed with my mind. Anyway, yes a couple of weeks ago, I went to the TACC Closing Party (videos are on my Instagram from that night), now you may be thinking to yourself, “What is TACC?” Well, I forgot, so don’t ask me.

Anyway, as I was saying, I went to the Closing Party which was held at the Regent Palms, and let me tell you something, the Regent Palms sure knows how to put on a party. They transformed the ballroom into Wonderland and some of the staff (including my mom) were even dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland. The party overall was fantastic from start to end, and luckily, I was armed with my camera so I got to capture all the great things that made this party fantastic and now I’m gonna share them with you guys :)

So, if you’ve watched or read anything linked to Alice in Wonderland then you would know its pretty creepy for most of it, and the Palms’ staff made sure to capture that. From the very start when you’re going up the stairs to the ballroom, you were practically told that it was gonna be creepy yet fun.

The staff also wanted to make sure that everyone felt as if they were actually entering Wonderland so they even created a Rabbit Hole for the guests to go through.

From the get-go it was easy to see that everyone really worked hard on this party. Every little detail screamed Wonderland and I’m still amazed at the big transformation that took place in the ballroom. It was amazing. The flowers were hand-made, the lights were gorgeous and my favourites were the flamingos and the really high table and chairs they were so cute, it was like climbing up a jungle gym to get on top of the chairs.

Of course, no Wonderland party can be complete without some of the characters right? There was the Queen of Hearts (my mom), the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, Tweedledee and Tweedledum and the Regent Palms’ GM Ms. Karen Whitt was Alice.

The food was great, and I especially loved it because I have a serious sweet tooth and they had cute little “Eat Me” signs that I thought was so adorable that I just had to take a picture of it.

If I’m sure about anything from that night it’s that everyone there had fun. From dancing the Electric Slide to taking pictures with the characters of Wonderland and even painting! Everything was great about the party.

However my favourite of the whole night was Mr. Nobody (Click Here to visit his site), he paints images upside-down and the audience guesses what the painting is. Then he flips it around and you can finally understand the picture. But trust that he is not boring, he has so much energy and he hypes up the crowd plus he dances while he paints, which I think is pure skillage. He’s really fast too, he painted the Bob Marley picture in exactly 1 minute and 32 seconds!

Well…that’s all the pictures I have darlings. Hope you enjoyed looking at them all as much as I enjoyed taking them.
