So, I really don’t know what to write and the other day, in English, I had to do a presentation on the poem “Continuum” by Allen Curnow (Click here to check it out). The poem is basically about how he has writers-block and doesn’t know what he should write about, but ironically, that’s what he ends up writing about.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am extremely indecisive (thanks to being a Libra) and well, when I’m in good mood, I’m extremely creative, but when I’m not…I’m the opposite of that pretty much.
So to get me in my creative mood I listen to music, usually songs from before I was born because I personally think that most of my generation’s music lacks substance, but that’s another post for another time.
Right now my playlist consists of:
*Click on the song’s name to listen to them on YouTube*
Can You Stand The Rain by New Edition
Meant To Be by TLC – Have you guys watched their movie? Keke Palmer is in it and looove her and I looove TLC, if you haven’t watched it then I recommend that you do.
I Want To Be Your Lady Baby (My Boo) by Ghost Town DJs – This song is often mistaken to be by INOJ, but it isn’t so don’t get all confused when you click on that link and see her name :)
All I Have by Jennifer Lopez ft. LL Cool J
Miss You by Aaliyah – This song makes me get beyond emotional
Summer Fling by Melodic Chaotic – Yes, that is Willow Smith and no, that’s not how the original version of the song goes, I just happen to like this version more.
Tears Dry On Their Own by Amy Winehouse – I remember listening to this song over and over again the day after she died.
Berries and Cream by Amel Larrieux
And so, this marks the end of the blog post about what I listen to when I am not creative and have no idea what to blog about. Hope you enjoyed reading & listening to a few of the songs that I like :)
Oh! And before I forget, go check out my friend Janai’s blog (Click here to visit it). She’s the one who came up with my blog post’s title.
So yeah, I guess that’s all, have a great weekend suga-bugas :)
